Good luck to all those children sitting the tests tomorrow.

The letter sent out to children states that they can take 2 pencils and a ruler for marking straight lines....

I was just wondering if anyone knows if erasers are allowed... even if they are on the end of pencils?

Are the children allowed to wear watches so they know how long they have left? Or will there be a clock clearly visible to all children sitting the tests?

Hello!
Last year my son brought in (and used!) his eraser as he mis-read a question number and put the answers in the wrong place - and had to furiously rub out and correct! (But he still got a place so do not despair!), and a watch was no problem either. A teacher in the hall re-assured the children " don't worry, it is just an exam!".

My suggestion is bring everything that makes your child feel comfortable, but remind them to check their answers.

Lots of luck!

Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

DS would be lost without an eraser, he's in such a rush to get an answer down. :D

Good luck to all the chn taking the tests tomorrow and to all you parents.

My DD took a good luck angel with her into the test and kept it on the table. When she got stuck on a question she silently spoke to it and this helped her to work through the problem and to keep calm. (Unlike her mother who was pacing the floors at home).

Polly, you could ask when you arrive at the school. They were all very kind and helpful.
