So sorry you didnt get the results you were hoping for but I would just like to say that my son has just phoned from Uni to say he got a very high mark for a piece of work, the highest in his class by far.I was told at 11 plus stage he was not clever enough to pass an 11 plus test, how I wish I had given him the chance :(
But he went to a huge comp did ok and is now doing very well indeed at uni,I'm very sure your children will do well where ever they spend their secondary years.
Thinking of you all.

you are so right! my eldest went to local comp (not happily to begin with) but it worked out - he got to uni and got his degree and now has a job he loves.
It will seem like the end of the world now but further down the road it will gradually fall into perspective.
However, I know how stressful it is ( 4 sons....) my thoughts are with you.x

Spot on right jeanb and tonbridge mum - I have seen kids at grammar flounder and leave with very few qualifications and there are many many kids who flourish at their local comps. Good luck to all :D

Yup, quite agree, I have 1 at comp and two at grammar and the comp is much better at picking up strengths in the kids and boosting self esteem.
