I vaguely remember this being dealt with on a previous thread but cannot find or remember the outcome..., here goes

In the tests themselves (e.g. the maths exam) do the children get scrap paper to work out more complex questions, or is it all meant to be done in the head and/or no time for working out answers on paper...?

Many thanks

Wouldn't think you need scrap paper for non verbal tho as its just a case of elimination?

My DD just informed me that they got scrap paper in the practice they did the week before but on the day they had to do itheir workings out on the question paper.
For the English they got a blank piece of paper for their plan.
I hope this helps !
