No experience but just a comment. I know successful appeals are not very common at this school but its amazing that none of the successful ones read this forum (or may be they do, they just don't post)

Hi, wanting the best (don't we all!) I do know someone who successfully appealed a place at Newstead Wood.

The girls has an extremely high IQ, but has a learning disability.

The mother's background is in human resourses and she appealed on the basis of discrimination against her daughter on the grounds of disability.

She won the appeal, but has admitted that her daughter does struggle at the school, despite being very bright.

So, perhaps this should serve as a warning. I don't know your daughter's circumstances or why you want to appeal, and I make no judgement. But is Newstead Wood really the best for your daughter. If you really believe that it is, go for it! I wish you the very best of luck.

Thank you chismum for your reply. Yes, I think (and her Head strongly agrees) Newstead is the school for her and hence our decision to appeal. So fingers crossed!!

have you read the appeals section Q&A? There may be relevant information on there which would help you in an appeal.
