Hello there.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of travelling to and from these two areas? Either by bus or train? Dont think there is a direct bus route but may be wrong.

My dd travels from near Faversham, but there is a train that leaves Sittingbourne at about 7.30ish that gets to the bus station in plenty of time for the shuttle bus up to school - my dd sometimes gets it from an intermediate station. Pretty sure there isn't a direct bue - but you could check Chalkwell's timetable?

Trouble with the rain is the cost - the bus is only £50 a year - the train is megabucks!

Interested that you got a place from Sittingbourne - I thought the catchment was much smaller this year?

7.38 from Sittingbourne, change at Faversham, arrive Canterbury 8.05. Walk to bus station - about 7 minutes, shuttle bus to school - arriving about 8.30 ish.

Thanks for your reply Katel.

I am looking at Simon Langton for sixth form and I am not sure if there is a catchment area requirement for sixth form. Spoke to SLBGS and they said there wasn't that requirement for their sixth form entry - assumed it might be the same for SLG.

Just wondering if you have any opinion or experience with either of these schools. SLBGS seems to come up on the Sutton Trust report and not SLG for some reason even though SLG seem to have better results.

I'll have to find out what the fare is between Sitt and Cant. Do you have any idea?

Sorry about the long list of questions. Its that time again after 11 plus, GCSE's and Sixth form.
