Hi
Can anyone tell me the percentage needed to pass the tests comfortably. We have been using the Bond papers to practice and my daughter is getting about 75% each time, however in the answer booklet on the Bond test papers it states that you need to get 85% as a target score. I'm confused - any help appreciated!

it depends which area of kent you are in. in the East of Kent a pass will get you a grammar place, whereas in west kent the places are allocated according to score.

Only half the grammar schools in West Kent allocate on score. Teh other half (TWGGS, Weald, TWGSB) are predominantly catchment with a few out of catchment places for high scores.

We are in East Kent, and my dd never got anywhere near 85% and passed!

Thanks for the replies, I just couldn't work out why Bond stated you needed 85%, but I just guess they are safeguarding.

the nearest my son has got on Bond tests is 80% and i too was really worried cos the bond state 85%, i think from looking at this site, that 85% is the top of the scale achiving a 140 standerised.

Would a pass be sufficient for Wilmington girls and is it possible to find out how far this school has gone out over the last few years?

Sorry to be a pain is it 85% for the 4 test combined or 85% a paper my daughter has done 2 papers so far today and her score was 93% on 1 and 63% on the other
