Re: Viewing test papers

Mystery and Masterchief....I know of one girl in 2009 who came out of one test distraught..she realised too late that she had gone out of sequence. She failed all due to an unexpectedly low mark on one test. Her parents went to see the papers and realised that 20 questions were out of sequence. They had already been re-marked by hand. Her parents explained the situation and were able to back their claim up with a letter from the ht confirming their dd's distress and realisation that she had answered out of sequence and this had been brought to the ht's attention at the time.
KCC agreed to re-mark and were able to say that it was probably the case and had she answered in sequence the score would have been 135.

They used this in appeal and with very strong evidence they won an appeal to ToGs.

The difference is that in 2009 parents were able to see q and a sheets which helped them a lot. Someone else has told me that their ht requested a hand mark for one paper due to the same issue and the dc passed.
