Kent appeal dates.

Hi,
I'm trying to book a holiday and wondered if anyone could tell me when the appeals take place. We are looking at 20-may to 3 June would this be likely to be fairly safe?

I know that the LEA are really clamping down on holidays in term time. I know you are 'allowed' 10 school days but this is discretionary ... don't know if attendance is looked at during an appeal ... perhaps someone could answer this?

Earliest appeals are Rochester Girls Grammar, usually end March, beginning April. Few others take place until into term 5 (summer term), grammar school appeals mainly May/June in term time. Dates aren't set until appeal take up numbers are known. You are therefore unwise to take a holiday around half term May/June in term time - but you are naturally trying to avoid a term time holiday in any case.
