Travel to Rochester Girls
Does anyone know:
1. The best bus route from Chatham Station to Rochester Girls, cost and journey time; and
2. The best route by bus from Rainham (Kent) to Rochester Girls, cost and journey time.
A Freedom Pass would be out of the question as this would be for DC aged 16+.
Thanks all.

Re: Travel to Rochester Girls
the bus 132 leaves rainham at 7.29am and arrives a few mins from RGS at 8.10. Pretty good i thought?
You can pick up the same bus up at chatham station at 7.58am if your dd got a train first, or the bus 600 leaves chatham railway station too at 7.57am.
Have no idea of cost though, give the bus station a call

Thank you tiredmum.
7.29 to 8.10 sounds pretty good to me.
Found out a monthly season ticket works out at about £85.50 a month with a 10% discount.

Might be worth having a look at the megarider tickets too.
Master Yoyo had one to go back and forward to college, it is valid on all buses and at all times, the one suggested by teh college was only valid during the school week and at certain times

Great info on the Megarider discounted tickets for students which I had never heard of.
I had a look on Stagecoach's (the company that runs Megarider) website. Unfortunately they do not run in my part of East Kent but might be able to connect to them after a short train ride.
