DS2 is for 2012 too - currently year 4 - and we haven't started doing anything remotely serious yet. He is a very lucky little boy and seems to be flying at school so I am not too worried about him. We play games etc etc. DS1 was different, more of a slow burner, so we had begun slowly with him by the end of year 4. I know this sounds quite drastic but here in West Kent it's all a bit of a gamble at times.

Different children = different approaches in this household.

I have DD in year 5 and she has a tutor once a week for Maths and I work on VR and NVR when we can find the time (mostly in the hols).

We are on more forth NVR and using ips VR practice papers.

We plan on stepping things up at Easter and I will be working on NVR and VR weekly for half an hour or so.

From June my plan would be in intoduce full tests once every 2 weeks or so.

This is all fluid, cos this my second DC to do the 11+, and in my experience, things can go reallly well then suddenly drop like a stone.

DD takes things out on me when she has had too much, whereas, DS used to take it out on himself. Thus a different style will be required to deal with DD.

It ia a new learning curve each time you do it.

Just as well I enjoy a challenge.
