Finally received my DD's RAW scores
She is October born

VR 61/80 76% Score 140
NVR 42/72 58%. Score 125
Maths. 29/50. 58%. Score 126

Looking at the earlier info for 2010 it looks like 2011 test scores were lower.
Thus a 76% gets 140 verses 79% in the 2010 test, and that was for an 11 Year old.

As a matter of interest my DD never scored above 74% on the GL pack 2 VR. Which shows the pack 2 were harder than the real thing.

She admitted not completing all sections on the NVR in the real test but usually completed most sections in the GL pack 2. Her scores on those GL pack 2 NVR were never above 66% we used one test from pack one at the end to boost confidence, scoring 72%
Maths was similar to the NVR at 60-66% on pack 2 and raised to 72% on a test from pack one, which again was used for confidence just before the test.

I sound like a bit of a nerd but then it does seem to be all consuming at the time. I am very glad she is my last to go through it. I will still pop in and out to see how you are all getting on. Good luck to all those who have still have DCs to sit the test and hope my figures reassure everyone that it is possible to get good scores without answering ALL the questions.

I put my DD's score on the VR ( and NVR)
down to all the help from this forum as she only had a tutor for Maths and the
rest was down to what I could help her with.

I emailed Kent admissions back on the 18th /19th Oct for my DS's raw scores but still no reply. Who did you contact CM?

Hi CM, my DS is born in March as his scores were virtually identical to yours

VR - 140 - 66/80 - 82.5%
NVR - 126 - 42/72 -58%
MATHS - 125 - 27/50 - 54%

Age doesn't appear to have made that much difference to the score - 1 mark in NVR

Thanks for posting this. I haven't asked for my DS' raw scores...do you have to include any particular reference numbers when you email to ask?

Yes, you need to include the pupil ID number which is on the results letter KCC sent out

I've sent yesterday and received row scores today

Verbal reasoning:- 77 out of 80 standardised score 140

Non verbal reasoning 55 out of 72 standardised score 140

Maths 48 out of 50 standardised score 140

Thanks CM. Still no reply. I was beginning to think that they had lost my DS' scores. I will try the person you suggest.

Every time I see raw scores, it just looks like its so damn easy to get them, reality is of course different.

The raw scores this year just seem a tad bit lower than last year.

If anyone has raw scores for May born children this year I would be both interested and grateful !!
Just whizzed through this thread but it does look like there was very little difference between October and March babies but I shall re-visit the thread later when I get home and read properly
