I am new to this and am very surprised that my son did not get a place at Skinners. I was just wondering if anyone knew for Skinners what the marks came down to for waiting list? Hope this makes sense.

Scores required much higher this year. Going higher year on year - frightening stuff

There is no hard and fast rule. It will depend upon how many boys do not accept a place allocated at Skinners. Best of luck.

I imagine though, that somewhere there is info on what scores went down to after first round of allocations. I have spent last 2 hours looking and can't find anything other than for TGS.

It will go down couple of points. Do not forget that it is recession and even more chances that it will be less movements that in previous years. I remember that somebody posted cut off for skinners for the last 4 years and it was aroung 407, but this year it is a killer!
Try to explain the child that the only pass which counts is 420. the rest is not good enough!

It is very unlikely to go down as far as it has in earlier years simply because the cut off score on allocation day is so much higher this year.
