Sorry if I`m a bit behind but is the pass 120 or 140? We live in west kent so does that have a bearing? I hope you all did well.

The pass mark varies slightly each year, but is usually around the 120, 120, 115 mark

Hi Potato, 140 is the top mark for each test and it is the score given after everything has been twizzled about and is not the raw score. I'm pretty sure that the pass mark for each test (after twizzling) is moveable, in the past few of years it has been in the region of 115 - 117.

You have to pass all three tests to pass the 11+ as a whole i.e. you can't get full marks on two papers and bomb out of one as even if the combined scores of all three tests equate to a pass if you fail one test you fail the 11+ as a whole. Hope that makes sense.

you have to get 120 ish in 2 of the papers, but can score lower in the third. You must pass all 3. The scores are not added together to give a total

Last year "To be automatically assessed suitable for grammar school in 2011's Kent 11+ process, a child needed to score a total of 360 or more in the tests, with no single score lower than 119."

See this section of KCC website here http://www.kent.gov.uk/education_and_le ... cores.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hope that helps

I think twizzling is probably about as scientific as it gets at Kent..... is that a bit cynical? :lol: :lol:

Do we know ( from past threads or cases ) what percentage or mark drop would give you the 119 or 117 in stead of the 120 ? E.G if it was 52 % in 2010 for a 10 year 6 month old to pass maths..would it have been 51 % or 50 % ..for the 117 etc. How does that work ?

Sorry..just grasping at very thin straws. :)

I can't imagine it will go lower than 119. Has it ever gone down? In fact looking at the raw scores they seem fairly static so assuming they need 80%ish for 140 and 55%ish for 120 in Maths with the other subjects being slightly lower if all remains as the sticky above. All of which makes me worried. And stressed. And stop sleeping. Quite ridiculous as I can do nothing.
