Re: Kent GS selection 2012
You're right, the cut off for Skinners was 412 off the waiting list. There was a child who got in with 407 on appeal but I also know children with that score and higher that didn't get in. So although the lowest score was 407 many with 408, 409, 410 and 411 will not have been offered a place. Similarly, I know of a child with 417 who only got in to Judd on appeal, not every child with 417 was offered a place.

Ernestdad scores are for 2011 entry, not 2012.

I think he may have got a bit jumbled. I think the Judd 417 score was for 2012 entry, and the Skinners score for 2011 entry.neurotic kent mum wrote:Ernestdad scores are for 2011 entry, not 2012.

I think they are all for the 2011 entry at the first round - they do not mention what the scores went down to from the waiting list. But someone on here will know.
( I wrote 2012 by mistake and have edited this to say 2011)

Skinners was higher than that on the first round for 2012 entry, I know boys with 412 who didn't get in at all. I also know a boy who got in in 2011 with a score of 408 so that would make a lowest of 407 about right.

2012 entry for Skinners on 1st March was 414 - not sure what it went down to.

I was told my Skinners a few weeks ago that they went down to 411 via the waiting list for admission this september, but that not all the 411s got in, depends on where you live.
Re: Kent GS selection 2012
Hello everyone, The more I know the more I am getting scared as to whether my son will be able to get place or not.
I have spoken to Kent Admissions today and they said if we move before 9th December then he will be considered as within the area resident. What to do as this is very tight time to arrange for house, primary schools for my D/S. A big move............
On the other hand as my son got positive result from St. Olave's Grammar School that he is likely to be offered the place but this does not mean a guaranteed place. One hope is there that as per the selection policy the school goes by ranking irrespective of where you live.
So confused.................

Not sure if I was dreaming this, but when I checked this thread last night I am sure there were more posts.....I think from Ernest Dad and Peter. I am interested in the likely increase in cut off scores for SS, especially for Togs. Can some posts have been deleted or am I just going slightly mad?
