Re: Invicta for Sevenoaks
Yes, it seems to be Valley Invicta Academies Trust (not just Invicta Grammar School) that is the partner. VIAT runs Invicta AND Valley Park which is co-ed (not a grammar but very highly regarded)...
Re: Invicta for Sevenoaks
Maybe they could fit a small Christian school in the same building?
Re: Invicta for Sevenoaks
Was the old wilderness school 4 form entry? Massive site. Maybe part of it will be sold off?
Does 4 forms match the increase in grammar population or will we end up drawing in children from a bigger distance to the other grammars?
I wonder if Weald will reword its admissions policy?
I'm foreseeing that we are going to end up being more likely to get a place at the invicta satellite rather than Weald because we live sevenoaks district, when in fact the weald journey by public transport is preferable.

Site share is a possibility
Read the bbc article about 7 oaks grammar. It says the head of the valley invicta trust says a site share with the Christian school could be possible, and he sounds very pleasant in the media.
Needs to get a move on though .... They'll have to get everyone to reapply to the Christian school and make it sound absolutely concrete that the school will move out of the office block within a reasonable timescale.
Why does philip limber sound so much more reasonable than a small minority of 7 oaks grammar campaigners at the moment? Maybe because customers are important to him?

Thanks okanagan, I'm no good at links.

It's a shame they couldn't show a child holding a pen properly in the bbc photo!

That photo was probably not of a Kent child!mystery wrote:It's a shame they couldn't show a child holding a pen properly in the bbc photo!
Seize the day ... before it seizes you.

This is good news for Sevenoaks. Is the proposal for a true co-ed school with mixed forms?
Surely site sharing could be a possibility? It all still needs approval so will be interesting to see the DfE's response to this as they've already backed a free school for the site.
Mystery you make a good point about expected Grammar population growth. If the annexe goes ahead surely there will be many vacant places which could potentially be filled by children from the Dartford area.
I just hope the Sevenoaks campaigners will now adopt a less hostile approach.
