Dartford Grammar School

Post by Dande »

Did the open day / tour earlier today - and really liked it. Was there for nearly two hours. Found the school/head/teachers to be very open and proud.

I think it's going to be difficult to beat it.

Definitely topping our list. Now for the results!!!

Same here! I really loved it, and so did DS - which has really got us panicking about results day.

Ooooh good luck for results day!! DS was one of the Year 7 boys doing tours this morning. He loves it and we have been very impressed so far. Please feel free to PM me if you want any more info. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Hello, we live in Greenhithe and I was wondering (all being well tomorrow), how possible would it be for my DS to get in to DGS, after score do they take into account the distance, I am not sure that we make it in to the catchment area? Any boys go there that live a bit further afield?

Living in Greenhithe your son will need to score quite highly to get in.
Generally a score of 415 upwards means that it is likely you will get a spàce, but that could obviously go higher this year.
We live further away than Greenhithe and DS got in on score.
He's in year 8 now and loves it.
Great school.
