Sevenoaks Grammar Satellite Rejected
Another website contains the full transcript of a Government press release, plus letters to the two potential sponsors of the proposed Sevenoaks Satellite, rejecting both proposals.
In my opinion, this appears to shut the door firmly on the proposal unless and until it is resurrected in a very different format.

Re: Sevenoaks Grammar Satellite Rejected
Ok, so if Weald wants a site in 7 oaks they have to go mixed in tonbridge and move staff up and down the a 21, and not allow parents a preference over which site they are allocated. Goodness knives how you write the admission policy for a school with two postcodes so far apart though? Choose the midpoint?
Or the law needs to change.
Is planning permission for trinity being applied for?

It's a real shame, but I can't say I am surprised, I never did understand how the bids could be legal when it was clear the satellite school had to have the same admission code.
