Sibling Question

I have a daughter at a Grammar, year 11, and a younger daughter who has just passed her 11+. We therefore have a sibling link to our preferred school. However, if my eldest daughter decided next year to leave, and not stay on, the sibling link no longer applies - could the place be taken away after March 2nd, if this is the case?

Thank you for any help.

I may be wrong...i think the sibling has to be in years 7-11 when the 2nd sibling starts

This school specifies year 8-13.

It isn't likely that your daughter will have made a definite decision to leave in March though, is it? In reality decisions about 6th form are rarely cut and dried until after the GCSE results in August, as entry usually depends on GCSE achievement at a particular level. And, as you will not have applied under sibling link fradulently - ie you do have a sibling link at the time you applied - and the sibling link will be there until at least the end of the summer term, I cannot see how they could withdraw an offer of a place for which your daughter has qualified.

Thank you - no, she hasn't made a definite decision yet, but I couldn't cope with the stress of telling the school she's not coming back for year 12, and having my younger one's place taken away!
