My child did not pass the kent test, can I still appeal to Grammer schools which was not one of our choices, and how would I do this?

As far as I am aware, you can only appeal to a school which you named on your Common Application Form, regardless of preference order.

Hi All,

My understanding - from KCC - was that if you placed a school on the CAF then you could appeal. If you did not have the school on the CAF then after 22nd March you could apply to the school.

The following applies to Kent schools only (not Medway).

If you have applied to a grammar school and your child has not not passed, you should appeal to that school by the 22nd March.

If you have not passed the eleven plus, you can apply to any other grammar school after the 22nd March and will then be turned down. You then have the right to appeal against this decision.
