I think you should be able to do an advanced search in the contract store for a contract with "eleven plus" in the title for kent county council. Nothing shows up - so I guess that means there isn't a signed contract yet? I don't have a clue if, once it appears on there, the supplier name will be given or not.

Hi mystery, I've just heard. Yes, it will be there and it will show the supplier. I did a search and I found the current contract due to expire in October. It showed GL as the supplier. Not long now!

Ah OK. What did you put into the search to find the GL one? I know I've seen that in the past but I haven't spotted it recently. I've lost the knack, clearly!

I don't quite understand that document. Is it confirming that Kent have extended the GL contract for the Sept 2016 test please?

It is saying that there has been a new tender process for the 11 plus test for 2016 and that gl have been awarded the contract. There is an option for the council to extend the same contract to the 2017 and 2018 test if they choose to save going out to tender again.
So what we don't know now is if they have agreed to the same sort of test for 2016 as gl provided in 2014 and 2015 or if the fashion for a surprise is still in vogue.

Thanks Mystery. Is there any chance that GL might come up with a CEM type test or is that not their area?

I don't know that there's as much difference between the Kent GL test now and a CEM type test as people might think other than that CEM can't steal the GL verbal reasoning types I don't suppose. What are you thinking are the features of a CEM test like the Bucks one which the Kent test currently does not have?
