Hi,

There are 3 tabs in the Kent test report (http://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/ex ... scores.xls)* - "Kent Test G Assessment", "Kent Test H Assessment" and "Kent Test Any Assessment". Can someone tell me what is the different between the "G Assessment" and "H Assessment"?

Seems to me they are giving the info in the most cumbersome, least informing way they can!

I'm guessing that the G assessment gives info on those assessed suitable for Grammar, the H assessment gives those assessed suitable for High school and the Any Assessment puts all the scores together.

They mean:

Grammar Assessment - Pass (including head teacher appeals)
High School Assessment - not Passed
All Assessments - all the above on one sheet.

Thanks for the responses. But, I'm still not clear what "High School Assessment" means. Is it a different exam than the one conducted for grammar school admissions?

If you look at the High School Assessment tab, you can see that at least one student has got 379 marks. Why is she/he considered fail when the pass mark is just 320?

They may have scored really highly in two papers but not got the minimum (106) in one paper - hence having a high score but still not passing.....

I think 'High School Assessment' is a polite was of saying they did not pass the 11 plus.

It seems tough that such a high score as 379 is not a pass....they must have scored almost full marks in two of the papers but narrowly failed the third. I would have thought that a Head Teacher review should have been successful in such a case, but apparently not!

Unfortunately some schools will not appeal for any students regardless of their scores.

May be

g assessment is test happened on 10th and 12th
h assesment on alternative day to those who couldn't appear on 10th and 12th
