Sibling link Mggs and Mgs

Attended Mggs open day yesterday and they have changed their admissions criteria. They now allocate their first 30 places on score and now there is a sibling link between mggs and mgs. Then they allocate on distance.

From memory, another website says MGGS usually have 30(?) spare places. Many who go there will have achieved higher scores anyway, so not sure what difference it will make. The sibling thing is strange for two separate schools. Are the schools linked via academy? We're not close, but many others attend from much further out, so hoping a straight pass is enough, if we get it. My guess is they no longer want to be the under-subscribed school; we will have to wait and see if it makes a difference.

That's interesting. Yes, the sibling link is strange to say the least. I don't know much about it as I am not local.
