Freedom of Information Request

Post by Sparklecat »

I've seen similar spreadsheets for previous years.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ng-1057348" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Apparently to be supplied no later than 15th November.

The person making the request has asked for

2017 Kent test result by school by gender by mark

Kent CC has not fulfilled the request yet (they seem to be awaiting a response from the applicant to something they have queried - 'We're waiting for YY to read a recent response and update the status.'), but should do so by the date given.

I see that there are currently a number of requests out for this on the WhatDoTheyKnow website including scores by school, requests for standardised AND raw scores (interesting), scores by month of birth....looking forward to when they are available but guessing soon going by previous years.

Bexley withheld the raw scores but it was fascinating to see results by school.

They have promised to respond to this one by November 10th.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... sults_2017" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looking at the information provided so far shows up a few interesting results.

https://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-c ... test#tab-5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A boy in Gravesham passed with a score of 292, presumably as a result of a Head Teacher Assessment.

An OOC/MISC boy failed with a result of 380. Maybe got 140 in two areas and 100 in another? There were quite a few children who did not pass with 350+.

The highest fail in Kent was 367. Generally speaking, you'd hope Kent head teachers would go to HT appeal with very high scoring fails.

I think our school already knew who they would appeal for based on previous class performance. Don't know if they needed to for any children. We always said we wouldn't appeal on the basis if she couldn't pass with tuition and parental help, then it wasn't to be. In the case if 367, that might be 131 for two sections and 105 for the third. In that case, depending on the school requirements, I would want to appeal.

Two of the FOI requests I've been following have come back regarding the Kent Test 2017 results (by school, maths, reasoning, English etc) including this one:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ng-1067493

The other one seems the same as they would not disclose raw scores.
