Re: 2018 Raw Scores
Mmmmm - reading that makes you realise how much standardised scores can vary despite very small differences in raw score.
Looks like the english too easy again relative to the reasoning - so English needs a high raw score to pass again whereas in reasoning 141 could be achieved with quite a few wrong.
Bit of a dogs' breakfast if you start reading too much into the standardised scores maybe?
Be interesting to know how the superselectives feel about the "new" test versus the old test as a predictor of school performance.

Re: 2018 Raw Scores
I'm not sure those scores can be correct. Another child higher up in the thread scored 21 in maths and only got a standardised score of 132. Age doesn't make that much difference!ToadMum wrote:Surely his scores total to 423?anxietykills wrote:OOC DS 10 yrs:

Re: 2018 Raw Scores
It looks obvious that the poster's just misunderstood slightly and put the maximum scores as what the raw scores are 'out of', rather than listing raw then standardised scores. He/ she gives a total which looks about right for those raw scores compared to others.Sevenoaks mum wrote:I'm not sure those scores can be correct. Re: 2018 Raw Scores
It's rather eyeopening.
DS was 10 years and 5 months
English - 23 raw - 131
Maths - 17 raw - 122
Reasoning -59 raw - 127
Total 380
Yet previous posters DD is only a month younger, got only one more English question right and that made a 6 point standardised difference?!
