Views on TWGSB
My DS has been offered a place at TWGSB, which he Wants to take up. His older sister is in Y9 at TGS, and he is very keen to follow her path. He had a score historically good enough for Skinners, which he absolutely loved, but the recent admission policy change puts him outside catchment.
We have a choice of either TWGSB, or he has been offered an Academic Scholarship at a local independent. It’s a choice between 2 great schools, of which TWGSB is his favourite.
We had a couple of concerns over their music and drama - something he really enjoys and we are keen to continue with. When we visited the music facilities seemed really poor compared to TGS. Is the actual provision of music still good despite poor facilities? DS plays the cello - are school instruments available rather than lugging a cello from HB station?
Any other opinions on TWGSB welcome as information/opinion seems much harder to find than for Skinners/Judd.
