Following our daughter's pass yesterday, can anyone confirm if you should nominate all 4 school spaces on the secondary application form? We are in the Maidstone catchment area so looking to list MGGS and Invicta only. Should we list another two grammars further away, leave two spaces blank or add two local comprehensives? No idea what to do with the other two spaces on the application form so any guidance would be most appreciated. Thanks

I would advise in almost all cases using all the spaces on your CAF. Even if you have a score that would get you a place in every single previous year, or you live next door to a school that admits on distance, or you can take advantage of a sibling priority. Just in case.
There is absolutely no disadvantage to using all the spaces. But if you only put two schools on your form and something unexpected happens and you don't get either of them, you will be given a school you've had no say in at all.

That answer is correct. However, historically there has not been a shortage of spaces for girls in the Maidstone catchment area. So anyone putting only MGGS or Invicta would be fine. We ended up putting Rochester and another local non grammar as 3rd and 4th for the sake of filling the form up.
