Kent cut off marks and Outside Kent admission

Post by priteshpjani »

Hi,

I am living outside Kent and would like to apply for my son for Kent 11+ exam. Can someone please help with 2020 cutoff marks for Judd and Tonbridge Wells Boys Grammar school for inside and outside catchment areas?

Many thanks.

From the Judd School website:
On 1 March 180 offers were made. The number of places available for the inner area is 157; the outer area is 23. The cut-off score for our inner area was 387 (2020: 385) with the outer area being 408 (407) (not all students on those scores being offered a place).
There will probably be similar information, either in the Kent section here or the Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys website.

TWGB doesn't allocate on score, it's just a pass on the Kent test then distance, I think combined with some sort of inner preference area, but check the website. It did come out to Orpington sometimes even before the Sevenoaks annex.

Dartford has most places available for ooc, but you need a very high score (as for Judd). Whereabouts are you?

Does that mean TWBG doesn't allocate on OOC? We are from Redbridge.

There was a rule that if we apply but move to Kent area by 10th Dec, they will still allow as per IC and not OOC. Is that true?

This booklet should help you, it is the LA publication on applying to Kent secondary schools.

https://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/p ... -areas.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Most of the further information that you require will be on the individual school websites.
