Extra time for dyslexic
My son is in year 5.
I have asked my son's school for extra time as he was diagnosed with dyslexia at 7 but they refused.
He does not need help in the class room and came off SEN in year 4 (which coinsided with the senco leaving and being replaced by a Provisions manager)
We have a new head starting soon so should I bide my time and ask again in the summer or would that be too late.
I wonder if rocking the boat might go against us in a headmasters appeal or should I hope for the best and use this info in an appeal?
Any advice welcome.

I took this post from the 'Dyslexia' sub-forum.

If it is Kent (as the papers sat and the results suggest) you would not have been given extra time in the 11+.
My son is dyslexic and before he sat the 11+ I checked with the council and was told that he would only by allowed extra time in the English paper, which is only looked at on borderline cases any way.
