Kent waitlist
If a child goes on a kent waitlist and a place is eventually offered would you have to accept or can they keep original school given?
Re: Kent waitlist
Hi, check on the Kent website but I don't think there's any obligation to accept the new school, you can decide if/ when you get another offer.
Re: Kent waitlist
No, the only way that you lose your current school place is by contacting them to tell them you have been offered elsewhere. You can potentially have two places at once - but I wouldn’t advise as there will be people waiting for the space to free up

It is worth checking locally as a couple of LEAs assume that if you are on the WL for school A then school A is what you want and if they offer you a place they will remove the place at school B and give it to someone else - I don't know about Kent so best to check

I asked the same question at the Bromley council and they answered: "In this instance, you can accept the new school offer or decline it to retain your original school offer"
