Re: Improper fractions in order
haniya, the GL Assessment familiarisation papers might be helpful to you in deciding which topics are relevant, because what appears in GL is very likely to also turn up in CEM tests:

Ordering of fractions does appear as a question type, although they are not improper fractions - see Maths Paper 1, Q.35:

Re: Improper fractions in order
That's a much easier question, more in line with what Year 5 could tackle.

I'm surprised to hear you say that.Guest55 wrote:That's a much easier question, more in line with what Year 5 could tackle.
The fractions in Q35 include different denominators (1/2, 3/4, 5/8) etc so you would need to convert some of them to a common denominator.
Whereas the fractions in the OP's question are all eighths. Doesn't that make the OP's question easier?
Re: Improper fractions in order
No - the fractions are greater than one which pushes it into Year 6.
Year 5 content:
* compare and order fractions whose denominators are all multiples of the same number
