bond paper maths

Hi there, I am new to the forum. These days I have been reading all
the posts on the forum and it is very helpful for my dd. Please could
someone help us on this maths question.


1/4m sq = ?

a) 1000cm sq b)1500cm sq c)2000cm sq d)2500cm sq e) 3000cm sq


Please explain me the answer.

Is it 2500cm ?

This is a guess so will only explain if that is right :oops:

I am sure someone with a better explanation may help, mine was really more guess work.

I just went by the fact that 1/4 is 0.25 just as 1/2 will be 0.5

So the only one that made sense was 2500cm. The other ones will be as follows

a) 1000cm sq =1/10
b)1500cm sq =1.5/10
c)2000cm sq =1/5 or 2/10
e)3000cm sq = 3/10
Impossible is Nothing.

Or 1 metre squared is 100cm x 100cm which equals 10000cm squared.

So 1/4 of 10000cm squared would be 2,500 cm2.
