NFER 11C question help please.
I thought I had posted this already but not sure if it came through, but apologies if it has appeared twice.
We are having a little difficulty with the following question:
Which fraction has the largest value.
7/8 3/4 6/9 10/12 3/5
DC can dismiss some answers but I am sure there must be a method.
Many thanks [/i]

Obviously you could change them all to the same bottoms but that is time consuming.
I always ask the children to tell me what is left over if they eat that much pizza.
In this case, 1/8, 1/4, 1/3 (3/9), 1/6 (2/12) and 2/5 would be left.
Obviously the least pizza left is 1/8 so 7/8 must have been the largest amount of pizza eaten.
Hope this helps.
