Hi All,

Just a note to point out a technical error in Letts' Maths Practice Test A [Multiple Choice] (which I got as part of a 'selection pack').

Question 45 gives the perimeter of a rectangle then asks which of the given areas it cannot have. Unfortunately, as the question had not restricted the rectangle's sides to be a whole number of cm, all the areas given are possible.

I have reported the matter to Letts and they have said they will change the question to include a clause that the sides are a whole number of cm.

In most cases DCs, addressing the question as intended, would choose the expected answer as they would not consider irrational numbers. However, if they tackled the problem a different way they might rightly conclude that all areas are possible.
