Can anyone help with the following questions please
3 ducks have a race
Duck a finishes 38 seconds ahead of duck b who finishes 17 seconds behind duck c.
How many seconds is duck a ahead of duck c
taken from habs 2008

they finish in the order a - c - b
a finished then 21 seconds later c finishes then 17 seconds later b finishes

duck a finishes first and b finishes last (since it is behined c)
we know the time between a and b is 38 seconds and we also know that between c and b is 17 seconds
therefore 38-17=21 seconds
