Hello,
I've started my son on some NFER maths test papers and he's been doing reasonably well. But there are some questions that he doesn't understand as he hasn't done anything similar at school, and I'm not able to explain them to him either!

Apart from the test papers which don't actually show how to do certain types of questions, can anyone suggest any other useful maths books that we can use to actually teech him some of the maths he needs to know?

ANy help would be great!

What questions are you having problems with in particular?

Bond Assessment has a pretty good maths (and english) 'secondary school' preparation book. We found it very helpful. Key Statge 2 work books will also help.

Hello ABC2005,

From the useful school links provided by this site, you can visit school sites and download past Maths question papers. I have Nfer practice papers and use these school questions as well to get my son exposed to more varieties of questions. I must say some questions are hard and tricky!
