Times tables games

Post by Naulakha »

I am trying to find some fun ways to practice times tables with my reluctant Yr 5 DD.
Can anyone recommend any websites with games (preferably free!) to try?

We always liked http://www.arcademicskillbuilders.com/ particularly meteor multiplication. You can also play against others online

My favourite is big brainz. Just google and find it. Free for the basic game.

multiplication squares are great but it is also useful to be able to get them instantly out of order and also as division facts.

Lots of different approaches, so that they become ingrained..

Another 'option' (if you have one of those smart phones 8) ) is downloading free multiplications games via Android Market / Apple etc. Convenient during school runs, especially if you use the car.

The Maths Factor is not free (£15 a month) but has been amazing in ensuring that my daughter is fast at her times tables. It was well worth the money in my opinion as she has literally learned them all 'fingertip quick' in about 2 months.
Free rice also has times tables practice
