Tricky GL Question
Hi All,
Can't seem to get my head around this one. What's the quickest way to work this one out, explained it to DS, but method that i've shown just takes too long:-
A Milkman and a baker deliver to the same house. In a period of 28 days, the milkman calls every second day and the baker every third day. They meet at the house twice in the first 7 days.
How many more times do they meet during the 4 week period?
Answer is 3

The search facility on the forum is rather wonderful. Top right corner of the screen under the services tab.

Re: Tricky GL Question
Hello slimpick,
Is the answer that they meet on the 1st day and then every 6th days after that,
where 6 is the lowest common multiple of 2 and 6?
So, on days 1, 7, 13, 19 and 25.
