Yes, dd1 had her IMC result last week ... She was off the day they were given out, so think she got it on Thursday or Friday. So the school should know. Next round is on Thursday, so hopefully your daughter's school will let them know before then if needs be!

They are in the middle of yr 10 exams for these two weeks. We won't need to worry about the next round, maths is not her forte.

Pupils who do well get invited to a summer school.

80 children, generally years 10 & 11. Dd1 had a fantastic time there last year, was the highlight of her summer, lol!

DD did this - Cayley last Thursday, but decided that once she'd answered 4 questions would just leave early (and go to a rehearsal of a play she's in!). A shame she missed the extremely easy last question. Don't think her heart was in it!!

My DD did the Primary Maths Challenge at her primary school. Got first place at her first one and third place at the second one!

JMC thresholds out now. Looks like a harder paper as they are lower than last year.

DS thinks he got 127 - we will see!

DD1 got 26 (10, 10, 6) in the Maclaurin paper of the IMO, so she was happy with that :)

Somewhat surprised that DD was awarded a distinction in Cayley. Maybe the general standard of maths isn't what I thought it was!
