For which of these can you work out the
probability exactly?

A.It will rain tomorrow when Class B
go on a school trip.

B.Mr Wood will pass his driving test.

C.Stuart will miss the 8.30 a.m. bus
to school.

C. Emily will throw heads when she
tosses a coin.

D. Amy will come third in a
swimming competition.

What is the answer for this.

In the answer sheet b, d mentioned.

Only the one about Emily as the outcomes are equally likely. Two outcomes so probability of one is 1/2.

All the others cannot be calculated.

OP said b, d mentioned on answer sheet - can't see how someone's ranking in a swimming race can be calculated with any certainty unless one knows that there are only three in the race and this girl has never come within a minute of the other two over the distance

- actually, scrap that, D is the coin-tossing, I think, because the OP lists A/B/C/C/D so the second C is D.

B is someone passing driving test, though...

Yes, it is not clear what the answer said. The coin tossing is the correct answer as per g55 but it is not clear why two answers were mentioned in that strange way by the o p ?

GL assessment answer sheet is not good. They miss the correct number and put the next answer to the previous one. Really confusing.
