Re: Guest55?
Again its practice and being familiar with the properties of the 9 times table.
1 x 9 = 09
2 x 9 = 18
3 x 9 = 27
Look at the pattern in the tens and units digits ...

I love patterns!
My maths club and I spend ages exploring them!

Re: Guest55?
Maths club sounds great! Not many of those in our area.
Re: Guest55?
Maybe something to suggest at school? NRICH has plenty of material for a club. Also the Primary Maths challenge has some good [free] materials.

Re: Guest55?
Thanks Guest55. School do a maths club which DD was invited too but they tend to be for Years 4/5 as they are too busy with the Sats in Year 6.
Re: Guest55?
We have maths club for children who just need a bit of a boost. We play games, do maths crosswords and solve riddles, use the iPads to play logic games and generally enjoy ourselves, while (sneakily) learning to love the subject.
Re: Guest55?
Sounds fun yoyo123. Would have been just the tonic for me at school. Might be better at Maths if I'd had that kind of support in school.
