Was DS correct?

I am starting to question my own sanity, and just need clarification on a couple of questions. DS had a practice SATs paper to do on Friday, and two of the questions were marked as incorrect and I can’t work out why.

1). 95% of 480 he put 456
2). 19 - 3 x 4 he followed the rules of BODMAS, did 3 x 4 = 12 and then did 19 - 12 = 7

Both of these were incorrect? Can someone please clarify if they are indeed wrong, and if so why, or if he was correct.

Hi Helen, sometimes at DS's school the kids have to mark each other's work so hopefully this was the case.
But I think the teacher should have double checked as this could sometimes affect a child's confidence with their maths ability.
We have 2 weeks of Sats mock exams starting today but not feeling stressed at all unlike the 11+.
