Find the actual distance represented by 54mm

Scale of 1cm to 10km

is the same as saying 10mm to 10km

if you know that 10mm represents 10km you can work out what 50mm represents.

1cm = 10mm, so 54mm = 5.4 cm

If 1cm= 50 km so 5.4 cm =54 km

To work out what 54mm is, you need to know what 1mm is.
If 1cm represents 10km
Then:.10mm represents 10km
And:. 1mm represents 1km
So :. 54mm represents 54 x 1km
