Author: Choccy74 [ Thu May 09, 2019 11:55 am ] Post subject: Re: How many twelfths (11+) I would just convert the fractions to twelfths, i.e.:1 & 5/6 becomes 1 & 10/122 & 1/4 becomes 2 & 3/12then it's easy to work out the difference in twelfths between the two numbers.

So, 1 & 5/6 becomes 1 and 10/12 and then add it to 12/12 to become 22/122 & 1/4 becomes 2 and 3/12 and then add it to 24/12 to become 27/12Then you can subtract 27/12 from 22/12 and 2 & 1/4 is 5/12 larger than 1 & 5/6
