Plus they haven't taken into account the option of a flake, of strawberry sauce, of different cones, or the little paper decoration stuck on top!
Re: Help with maths question from GL paper 7
From my DD, the answer is 36 and she thinks the following are the possible combinations:
VV VS VC VM VP VM
SV SS SC SM SP SM
CV CS CC CM CP CM
MV MS MC MM MP MM
PV PS PC PM PP PM
MV MS MC MM MP MM
* V - Vanilla, S- Strawberry, C - Chocolate, M - Mint, P - Peach, M - Melon
She calculated based on A, B, C, D, E, F and came with the following and changed A to V, B to S, C to C, D to M, E to P and F to M
AA AB AC AD AE AF
BA BB BC BD BE BF
CA CB CC CD CE CF
DA DB DC DD DE DF
EA EB EC ED EE EF
FA FB FC FD FE FF
VV VS VC VM VP VM
SV SS SC SM SP SM
CV CS CC CM CP CM
MV MS MC MM MP MM
PV PS PC PM PP PM

The one we don't go to does Freakshakes as well, but that's more DS2's territory. My favoured alternative supplier has a mean Biscoff sundae in his repertoire, but is open to substitutions. Calculating the permutations there might be more a GCSE sort of question .solimum wrote:Plus they haven't taken into account the option of a flake, of strawberry sauce, of different cones, or the little paper decoration stuck on top!

That 'assumes' that EF is different to FE and we do not have a definition of different - bad question.
