The number which could replace the question mark is

a) 0
b) 1
c) 4
d) 5

Subtract 1

Then square

Answer is 0

4 - 1 = 3
3 x 3 = 9

etc

I don't know what it is with these questions but although I keep trying I'm absolutely usless! When the answers are revealed I can see it but when will the penny drop? I think I'll leave these question types to the tutor!
