For the 11+ which unit conversions do they need to know. In one of the NFER papers there is metres to feet/inches. What other conversions?
Weight kg to lb?
Length m to feet/inch?
Volume?

IMHO
The Bond papers seem to imply a need to know conversions but they date from a bygone era.
I doubt conversion factors need to be remembered nowadays.
More important to know...
ml, L, cm, m, km etc.

The Nfer practise papers do have conversions on them - I'm sure my son said one of the papers he has just taken had a feet to metres conversions question, but i would need to double check with hem.

Hi
The types of question that may appear relating to conversions are:
Estimations of height, weight, etc If a child is 4ft 10in approximatelt what is his/her height in metres?
Conversion charts where a list of imperial measures are given on one side and a list of metric measures on the other with one missing amount that can be worked out from the information provided.
Neither of these questions require conversion formulae.
