It also helped my daughters when I gave them silly things to help them remember the difficult ones. For example, my youngest could never remember 8 x 7 so I used to tell her that if she got it wrong, I would beat her with fifty sticks (fifty six)!

They also used to recite their tables in the car on the way to school but to make it more fun, we would start in a whisper and get louder each time until they reached 12 x ? and were shouting (it can give you a head ache but it was much more fun for the children).

Role reverse with them where they ‘test’ me with the tables also helped. This meant that they had to think about the answer themselves to know if I was right or not and also the repetition helped. You will be amazed how 10 minutes in the car a couple of times a week does the trick. Good luck.

You need to register but my kids love it as you compete against children from all over the world.

Also agree with the ten minutes in the car - that worked for us.
