Thanks Dixiechick. My DS started at LRGS last week and so far so good. Had a fun first week getting used to the buses and new routines. He has made some good new friends and seems to be finding his feet.

I have been impressed so far with the amount of non - academic time such as games, PE and ethics/values classes.

I think this coming week will be a bit of a shock though as the homework starts to kick in.

Yes she had a very good first week. Glad your son is enjoying it.

Her classmates have been friendly and she seems to be finding her way around. She has enjoyed all the classes and says the teachers have been nice. She is also enjoying the lunches. It has been a very gentle start in terms of homework here too.

They sign up for the extra curricular clubs tomorrow.

She has been fine on the bus, but has a yr 8 friend to catch it with which has made it easier.
