Understanding results

Post by Cherryblossom63 »

I’ve received my dds 11+ entrace exam results, she didn’t pass but I’m wondering if someone could explain the scores to me. The required standard was 99.5 and my dd achieved 92.8 (this was a weighted score). Are these scored based on a scale of 100?
Thanks in advance!

I can't find the specific information but very much doubt that the scores would be out of 100.

They are likely to be standardised to take age into consideration and probably the max score would be well over 100

Hi my ds passed with 100.2, he’s way down on waiting list so I suspect the top scores are very high :-(

Don't know the range of marks. Do know a zone / tier 1 child who scored 99.1 so hasn't been offered a place, and several around the 96/97 range. Mostkids with places from local schools seem to have got scores between 110 and 120. Aware of scores like 128.8 though, so max marks must be even higher.
