From what I've read on here it appears that questions from HIKNOS do appear in the Lincs test. Is there any evidence. To suggest which particular types come up most frequently out of these? Or is it best to know all 6 in detail

Thanks

Loo

the types of questions as listed by IPS in Verbal reasoning are listed here:

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... f=3&t=3740" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The HIKNOS ones are:

H = Opposite meaning
I = Complete the sum
K = Related numbers
N = Word-number codes
O = Complete the word
S = Same meaning

With regards to how often they come up - I've no idea I'm still pretty new to this myself :D

Loo, I think it best to know them all.

Only someone who had actually seen the real papers for several years running would be able to tell how often each type comes up but we do know that some of them do sometimes!
